Out of the Valley by Cory Rhymal

Honestly one of your better tracks. It seems like you're still working on finding your sound. Absolutely nothing wrong with trying on different styles to figure out what works best for you. Honesty, authenticity and going against the grain always seem to work best in my experience. Just continue to tell your story, and do it in a way that music fans an appreciate. Steer clear of the flavor of the week though. Mimicking popular sounds is a lost cause. Just do you and use the people close to you that love music to give you regular painfully honest feedback.

Really like the song man. Verses are great and the overall content is relatable. My only comments are in regard to the video. A little too many after effects in my opinion. Something clean and high quality goes a long way.

I love the insightful stuff and the tone of the track is much more digestible than last one you shared. Great mix.

Def feeling this one! Have actually become familiar with your music over the last few months. I love the grit and aggressiveness in your delivery. Even with that, you manage to ride the beat! Content/lyrics are always on point. Great beat selection.

Thank you for the submission, Cory. Starting with the positives: Great energy, great vocal, dynamic approach, good mix, solid (but predictable) production. The aggressiveness hits hard, I believe it. Doesn't feel like a come on. The negatives? The topicality and track aesthetic don't really help the track, or you, stand out. This record is aiming to fit into a sonic terrain, not stand out. That isn't a bad thing, just harder to be recognized in a sea of thousands of artists all doing the same exact thing. Good luck.

Definitely something worth listening to, but I didn't finish listening wanting to listen again. I found myself waiting for a change in tone or tempo that never came. Nothing really separated the verses from the hook. The instrumental was the same. Good record, but a little too dark and sinister for a little too long.

With a tried and true song structure, catchy production, big feature, unique vocal characteristics and technically strong delivery, "The Proof" is a strong record. You won't always have a big name feature to lean on, but I don't think you'll need it. Definitely going to check out the rest of the album.

This track is really well produced and love the feel of the song. DEFO get this on the college radio circuit and keep it up! In terms of marketing first off make sure everything works... for example you have an instagram link on your website which has a broken link on it.. Also get as interactive on Fbook and Twitter as possible.
