Hope you had a great Christmas Kat! Great vibe and sultry vocals! Reminds me of Fiona Apple. That little guitar break really does sound like infinity, and I particularly like the otherworldly backing vocals in the following verse. Thanks for including the lyrics! I definitely wouldn't have decoded some of the words (like "ridiculous") but I love the stylings even if they affect intelligibility. Mix-wise, the vocal feels just a bit too up front, but it's always hard to judge through SoundCloud's encoding. It's a pretty sparse arrangement to begin with. I'm happy to share this with my followers on Twitter, and I think I'll use your description because it really sums things up nicely! Thanks for sharing it with me.
Sultry! I take it from the Rhodes that you're a pianist like myself, going the electronic route because you can do it all yourself. This may sound out of left field, but it reminds me most of The Doors! Your vocals are nice and smooth, but by about the two-minute mark I'm really itching for something to happen here. The track continues to just vamp on the same two chords. Okay, you've got two voices going, one in a higher register, and the keyboard stabs. That works! It's subtle, but there's a dynamic arc here that I can appreciate. This is a bit of a stretch for my Depeche Mode loving following, but I'll go ahead and share it and see what happens. Thanks for sharing it with me! A couple suggestions for future Fluence submissions: 1. Include the lyrics so we can follow along (I understood them just fine, but wasn't always focused on them) 2. Include a short, catchy description of the song or act that's easy to copy/paste for social media sharing. That way we don't have to strain our brain coming up with something clever, and you get to choose how you're presented to the world.
