- Measuring and Monitoring Performance
Hi Dave Dog - thanks again for this submission. I do like the song and the vibe here. But like the other song submitted - i think for me and what i'm looking for - it might be out of my scope / expertise as I'm looking for more indie pop / beat driven type of music at the moment. I stopped the file short from playing all the way through to save some $ for you. But sounds like you are on the right path!
Hey Dog Dave ... really interesting track. I especially liked the part around 1:23 where everything really gets changed up quite a bit. Part of me likes the way the vocal is presented very upfront / dry. Part of me wonders what that might sound in context with it having more f/x on it ... but you know, on second thought I really like the rawness of everything. Really nice job here all around. For myself on the publishing / label and music blog - this one might just be a little further on the indie rock side that I go but wanted to say really nice work on this one.
This sounds a bit murky in my headphones, might suggest doing some further refining of mix and master on this track. This particular song doesn't resonate with me -- again it could be that it needs to be further produced to draw me in, or it might be that its a bit more of a garage rock/jam than my personal taste. I can't find you all on the streaming platforms, are you just starting out as musicians? Would love to see some video of the two of you, I think that would really help me to further embrace your music. Also would be great to see the lyrics, again for the purposes of drawing me in. Hope that's helpful, thanks so much for your submission, good luck with your music!
Super raw, lo-fi and organic sounding in a way that feels like I'm in the basement right with you as this was recorded. Nice work! I would suggest including links to your social media, more music, lyrics and a short bio along with your Fluence submission as this is your elevator pitch and you want the people listening to be able to easily find out more about your band when you have their attention. If you haven't already, you should definitely make sure to put your music on Bandcamp and of course play live as much as possible with bigger bands in your scene if you can. Work on building a buzz in your region and then start to conquer outwards from there. If you have the means, you should def make a music video that fits your aesthetic for one of the singles from the debut EP. Best of luck!
