If there were ever a word or words asked to describe Stretch they would be music junkie, dedicated, persistent and semi-sane! All of those combine make Stretch who he is and that is an accomplished 17 year music veteran that has seen and worked with the best. This Baltimore native career started off that the age of 20 in his home city, where he was an intern at the defunct heritage radio station of V-103. Upon graduation from Towson University he locked in and moved over to the power station that was 92Q Jams. He maintained and he built lasting and longing relationships while along building his craft as a personality. He later moved off to Cleveland for a brief stint to host the night show for WENZ 107.9 at the upstart station. Less than a year later he got the call to come back to Baltimore to host the “Love Zone” at 92Q. Not one for passing up a sure opportunity he took it and rode that bike for 4 years before deciding to move on. In 2004, he made the move that would change his life and his career! That year he made the move to Los Angeles where he started to work for the legendary and iconic Stevie Wonder at his radio station, KJLH 102.3FM. Having that time and experience there working with great individuals sharpened his skills and knowledge that eventually helped him land at Yahoo!
In 2005, Yahoo! Music called and Stretch didn’t hesitate on answering. He became the Head of Urban Programming for Yahoo Music and Video. It was here where he grew and gathered the love for New Media. After 3 years with the “purple yodel” he moved to New York where he worked at BET.com, as a Content Producer for such shows as Keyshia Cole, The Game, The Deal and numerous political and news specials. In 2008, he took his talents over to Atlantic Records, where he served as the Digital Marketing Manager for Bad Boy Records. Having the chance to work with Puffy and all of the artists at Bad Boy was a dream fulfilled. In 2010 the “music junkie” came back to the DMV to his first love…radio! Being a part of the KYS family is special for Stretch! Giving the folks what they need and want is what makes him happy! Music has and will always be the staple in his life.
