Having managed some of South Africa’s most prolific brands and labels, Nic Burger is considered one of South Africa’s leading dance A&Rs and Label Managers. His career has spanned the better part of 2 decades in the music industry with some of the largest global and domestic signings in the South African dance music scene, earning his spot on the board of record labels in South Africa as well as a seat on the board of AFEM.
Not only has Nic amassed an impressive CV by setting up South Africa’s biggest and longest-running dance brand ‘Bump’, he has also set up digital distribution platforms for indie-labels and artists, as well as a short stint in the mobile communications industry.
Nic’s most recent success is having launched UDanceSA, a dance division of Universal Music South Africa, which not only markets and promotes Universal’s International dance content, but signs and manages local talent.
Nic currently holds the position of Content and Platform manager for The Kleek (A Universal subsidiary), which is Africa’s biggest music radio streaming service.
